You don’t have to use a regular oven to make a delicious chocolate cake anymore. Thanks to air fryers becoming popular, baking has become simpler and faster. Air fryers are great because they make food crispy without needing a lot of oil, and they can make cakes just as good as those made in a regular oven.
Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup hot water
Instructions:

Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).

Grease a 6-inch cake pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Stir in the hot water until the batter is smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined
Pour and Cook:

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Place the pan in the preheated air fryer basket and cook for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Dust with powdered sugar or frost with your favourite icing before serving.
